There are times in one’s life when a change is inevitable. For me, that change happened recently. I worked in the busy world of retail management for years where I coached employees to optimise their effectiveness in the workplace. I thrived in this role upon the interactions, the goal focus, the sales, the diversity of the clients. It was truly something I loved.
However, after getting married and having children, the focus shifted. The long hours no longer suited me. It was my children that became my priority. I wanted to get to know them. However, after getting married and having children, the focus shifted. The long hours no longer suited me. It was my children that became my priority. I wanted to get to know them. I wanted their world to be filled with excitement, learning and fun as well as them feeling their views were valued and they were secure in their place in the world.
During this time, as a career, I transitioned to the early years sector becoming a childminder. My days were filled with nurturing young minds and fostering their growth and potential. The key area of their development which resonated with me was ensuring their emotional and social needs were met. The children’s wellbeing was paramount to me. Alongside working with young children, I completed my degree in Psychology at The Open University.
I then began studying counselling and psychotherapy with the aim of moving into a Clinical Qualification in this field. It was during this time I engaged in psychoanalysis. This time of reflection and the focus on internal processes revealed to me that psychotherapy was not the right field for me.

This was eye-opening, as I had nurtured this dream since completing my Psychology degree and was very much moving towards what I thought I wanted. It made me question what it was I was looking for; what I felt my purpose was.
And with that, a few things fell into place and I realised where I wanted to go. I want to help people achieve their goals. I want to listen to people’s stories. I want to help people overcome obstacles and achieve what they want and deserve. I am now training to be a Life Coach with The Coaching Academy.

And with that, a few things fell into place and I realised where I wanted to go. I want to help people achieve their goals. I want to listen to people’s stories. I want to help people overcome obstacles and achieve what they want and deserve. I am now training to be a Life Coach with The Coaching Academy.
I have had a lifelong affinity with yoga, with daily breathwork practices and a focus on wellbeing and mindfulness. These practices sit at the core of my being. Therefore, it felt like a natural step to become a Breathwork Coach and Meditation Teacher where all these aspects have been combined.
I undertook the training with YogaBody in July of this year and since then my yoga has moved to another level. The added regular focus on my breath is helping me to remain present and manage my stress levels. It has improved my energy and sleep.
My breathwork is now a fundamental practice in my daily life. Breathing is the first thing we do when we come into the world. Our breath is with us constantly. I would like to now encourage you to Breathe and Become the best that you can be.
If you would like to book a breathwork coaching session or class with me or have any other
questions about what I do, please get in touch.
